Work and Direction
My working life is mostly spent in data reporting and analytics for large enterprises. I use business intelligence tools and code to improve reporting, find useful patterns, and give people a clearer basis for decisions. Alongside that work, I am building Rosette Solutions, an analytics practice for small and mid-sized businesses in Florida.
I find analytical work absorbing, but I do not assume that any one career must be final. I am still looking for the opportunities, disciplines, and places that might let me make fuller use of what I can do.
Outside Work
Much of the rest of my time goes to reading, writing, Transcendental Meditation, opera, pool, pipe tobacco, and a perhaps unreasonable number of side projects. I also work on Etiquette of Attention, a filmed conversation project I make with a good friend. We discuss subjects that interest us, including beauty, conduct, metaphysics, and attention.
I am drawn to design and experimentation when they serve a clear end. There is still a great deal I want to do, and I hope to see as much of it through as I can.
Current Projects
This website is one of those projects. The Log Room will hold shorter notes, reflections, and plans as I add them. I am developing it alongside Rosette Solutions and several professional projects.
- Building Rosette Solutions for small and mid-sized businesses in Florida.
- Creating MCP integrations for software I use and want to understand better.
- Developing Etiquette of Attention with a close friend.
- Continuing my practice of Transcendental Meditation while giving clearer form to the aesthetic world represented by this site.
The setting of this site comes from a private dream. I do not expect it to exist exactly as shown, but it is close to how I imagine heaven: clear water, beauty, quiet, and enough room to think and feel. Thank you for reading. You are very welcome to contact me.
