Good Ground Coffee

A hot afternoon in Fort Myers, a growing list of things to do, and a little attention paid to attention itself.

It is hot as hell outside. I have not spent much time around downtown Fort Myers in a few years, and now I am wondering whether I should have lived on this side of the river. Cape Coral was a little cheaper, and perhaps closer to the beach, but I can see the argument now.

I am at Good Ground Coffee with a battery that keeps draining and more things to do than I feel like counting. There are suits to sort out, food to cook, floors to clean, books to read, music to hear, and money to make. Life keeps offering errands and pleasures in the same pile.

I would like to be at the beach. The rain arrives sometime between three-fifteen and four-thirty almost every day, so going means leaving early. Many things in life are like that.

I have also been thinking about what I feed my mind. I have not been meditating, and too much of what I have watched or read lately has been junk. A change of place helps, but it does not rebuild the interior by itself. That part still belongs to me.

Ten percent battery. I want to buy a linen suit, but I should probably wait until the weekend. There is much more to do. Talk to you later.
